September 25th-30th, OGA PTSA will be celebrating our OGA Community!
Last year, we decided to turn our annual fundraiser into something special that OGA did together – without the help of a fundraiser company – and our Parliament understood the assignment! With the generous donations of our OGA community, we surpassed our goal of $30,000 and kept going!
Using Givebacks Crowdfunding, we were able to keep most of what was donated, and we used it for Teacher Grants (just about every one of them!) and helping our teachers relocate their classrooms, AV equipment, 3D printers and Teacher Appreciation Week. We assisted with the cost of Field Day, and helped the students celebrate their hard work in securing those funds.
Prize levels for collecting donations were focused on fun experiences. The classes with the highest dollar-per-student average were given extra special classroom rewards.
With that success and experience in our back pocket, we've decided to give it another go. This year, we've got a slate of new prize level experiences that will happen on October 3rd. Mr. Maguire is such a good sport that we've got fresh cans of color hair spray, and new dance moves for him to show off.
You can donate any time between now and September 30th, but the real fun starts September 25th, and watch for volunteer sign-ups. We love it when Parliament Parents get involved, and we'll need your help to make this an OWL-some week!
When you register your student, they can send a link to friends and family to collect donations in their name. Elementary students will be registered by homeroom teacher, and Middle School students by social studies teacher and class period.
However you choose to give – in the name of a student, to a whole class, or anonymously – we appreciate every single dollar! If you want your student to receive prizes, you must choose "credit a student" when donating, and that student must be registered. You can generously donate to a whole class, but there are no class rewards.
The Burrow allows you to check how things are going for the campaign goal and see your students' donations. We'll get to $30,000 if we OWL work together! ... Don'tcha just love a good OWL pun??
Like last year, the Prizes will focus more on fun experiences that students can share with friends and make memories! Donations must be in by September 30th, 11:59pm, to ensure participation in prize levels. Prizes are cumulative, so with every milestone your student passes, they earn the additional prize!

Cash or check donations should be placed in an envelope, clearly labeled with your student's name and elementary homeroom teacher or middle school social studies teacher and period, and turned in to the black box in the front office. We will take care of the rest and make sure your student is credited.
